It seems like almost every week we’ve seen an impact prospect earn a promotion to San Francisco, and they have typically immediately contributed positively to the club. Casey Schmitt (3B, SF) is the most obvious name, though Brett Wisely (3B/OF, SF) and Blake Sabol (C/OF, SF) have each had their own moments of productivity. The latest call-up was Patrick Bailey (C, SF), who got his opportunity in the wake of a groin injury to Joey Bart (C, SF). Bart isn’t expected to face a long-term absence, though Bailey is getting a true opportunity to earn an extended look in the majors.
