San Diego Padres 

Austin Nola (C, SD) ran into tough luck last season, as he was limited to only 194 plate appearances by a combination of thumb and knee injuries. He posted intriguing skills, particularly given his positional eligibility, highlighted by an 89 ct%, 114 HctX, and 93 xPX. While he’s maintained his health to this point in the current campaign, his results have been disastrous (.208/.270/.267 line, -7 BPV). His skills have remained almost entirely intact, with his xPX actually creeping up to 107. 

Now, the question is whether the Padres will be patient enough to see Nola’s performance level out. He began the season starting nearly two-thirds of the team’s games behind the plate and also mixed in at designated hitter while
