This week, the person drawing the biggest headlines with the Nationals is without a doubt Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. Dr. Fauci will be throwing out the first pitch on Opening Day, which seems like a fitting choice given the reason why MLB is starting its regular season in late July. Unless Dr. Fauci surprises everyone and pulls a Sidd Finch, though, he has little chance of helping the WAS bullpen. And how does that bullpen look right about now, anyway?
