The Phillies enter camp with at least three of the starting rotation slots locked in with Cole Hamels (LHP, PHI), Cliff Lee (LHP, PHI) and Aaron Harang (RHP, PHI), but there will be a battle for the final two spots this spring. The contenders are Jerome Williams (RHP, PHI), David Buchanan (RHP, PHI), Miguel Alfredo González (RHP, PHI) and recently acquired Chad Billingsley (RHP, PHI).

Williams and Buchanan are the favorites to claim those jobs, but they aren't guaranteed anything. Williams played for three different franchises (Astros, Rangers and Phillies) last year, posting a 4.77 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 6.4 Dom, 2.8 Ctl and 62 BPV in 115.
