PT TOMORROW: NL East—Could Hoskins soon make his MLB debut?

Philadelphia Phillies

Could Rhys Hoskins (1B, PHI) soon make his MLB debut? The team’s 14th ranked prospect, according to BaseballHQ.com, enjoyed a breakout season in 2016, as he slashed .281/.377/.566 with 38 HR and 8 SB in 498 AB with Double-A Reading. He has followed that up by slashing .289/.385/.576 with 20 HR through 304 AB with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Hoskins has done a much better job of making contact in 2017, improving his ct% from 75% a year ago to a much more appealing 83% and his Eye has grown from 0.57 to a healthy 0.89. The 24-year-old seems to be ready for a promotion, but with Tommy Joseph (1B, PHI) manning first base, he must bide his time and await an opportunity.

While Joseph has been solid, the Phillies are expected...
