The backend of the Braves rotation hasn't panned out as expected with Jared Shuster sent back to Triple-A. In two starts, Shuster struggled with an 8.31 ERA, 2.42 WHIP, and a deserved 8.73 xERA. He uncharacteristically struggled with control with a 20% BB% and 11.1% K% in a small sample of 8.2 innings. 

 

Meanwhile, Dylan Dodd remained in the rotation for a two-start week. Dodd fared well against the Cardinals with six hits, one earned run, and three strikeouts through five innings. Unfortunately, Dodd struggled against the Padres, as he allowed ten hits, seven earned runs, one walk, and two home runs, with three strikeouts. He gave up ten hard-hit batted balls across 4.1 innings, yet had a decent 38% whiff rate on...
