The Pirates mercifully ended the Bryan Reynolds (OF, PIT) contract saga early last week by signing the steady outfielder to a long-term deal. Jack Suwinski (OF, PIT) has also made the case to be a long-term fixture in the team’s outfield with his play early this season. He began the campaign on the outside looking in for regular playing time, situated behind Ji-Hwan Bae (2B/OF, PIT) and arguably even Canaan Smith-Njigba (OF, PIT) on the outfield depth chart. Since starting only nine of the first 17 games on the schedule, Suwinski has started 11 of the last 12 matchups (through Sunday). His ability to make contact remains inconsistent (66 ct%), but he has shown extreme patience (18 BB%) and ability to hit for power...
