Injuries continue to wreak havoc on the offense, with Randal Grichuk (OF, STL) being the latest casualty. He forced his way into consistent playing time in late May, and has since been perhaps the team's best hitter. An elbow strain will cost him a few weeks, as he joins a host of other players trying to fight their way back for the stretch run.

Matt Adams (1B, STL) was initially expected to be lost for the season when he went down with a torn quad back in late May. But he's been progressing quickly, and could reportedly begin a minor league rehab assignment within the next week, with an eye on returning to the majors in early September.
