Consistent with recent years, the second base spot in Chicago looks to be a mix-and-match situation as the club enters spring training, with four primary players vying for time. By projected 2B playing time, in less-to-more order: 

We list Javier Báez (IF, CHC) as getting a handful of AB at the position, but this has as much to do with the Addison Russell (SS, CHC) domestic violence situation as anything. With Russell suspended until May 3, Baez is likely to find most of his AB from the shortstop position, at least to start the season. Once Russell returns, it's still unclear how much time he will see at shortstop. Regardless, Baez’s explosive skill set, with the ability to repeat his 30 HR/20 SB season in 2019, and...
