And now tabbing which of these names will be taken by other clubs—and who in a system at the bottom of MLB's talent rungs will replace them, and whether they can be productive—seems daunting.

But with Shohei Ohtani no longer available on the mound, and pitchers Lucas Giolito, Matt Moore and Reynaldo López now up for grabs by postseason contenders, the immediate thought here is that...
