As noted in this space in March, the OAK outfield situation was grim—and it has quickly reached abysmal now to begin May. Khris Davis is fine in LF (though he should be a DH), but a challenged offense has received no help from the other two spots, and none on the immediate horizon. Rajai Davis' (OF, OAK) hamstring strain was more of a tweak, and he returned from the 10-day DL on May 2 after missing the minimum. After looking overmatched (0-for-7, 3 Ks) in his brief OAK stint, Davis's roster replacement Ryan LaMarre (OF, OAK)—recently acquired from LAA—headed back to the minors. Likewise, Jaff Decker (OF, OAK) will return to backing up Davis in CF off the bench, though outside of a 14% bb%, he's shown nothing in...
