Despite an ongoing off-field purge, the near-term/near-ready MLB outlook seems brighter, notably the Triple-A rehab stints of Josh Jung (3B, TEX) and Joe Barlow (RHP, TEX). February surgery to repair a torn left labrum left most observers skeptical as to a Jung return in 2022—and how his power might be impacted, at least over the short-term under the circumstances; see HOU OF Jake Meyers. Few observers had Jung making his MLB debut this year, but the club's 3B-of-the-future is suddenly mashing at AAA-Round Rock, with a 10-for-25 (2/5 BB/K) performance to date that includes 5 HR and 2 doubles, offering up a loud initial statement as to any concerns. Jung had been fast-tracking prior to his surgery, and it remains to be seen...
