We have seven different names projected for 2B time, mostly going to veteran Tony Kemp (2B/LF, OAK) though just barely. The best that can be said fantasy-wise about Kemp is that he offers few surprises, a contact hitter with decent legs who depends on playing time and good fortune for his value. Despite a typically fine 80%+ contact rate, Kemp's h% dipped to a three-year low in 2022, taking his BA down from .279 to .235, with only his career-best 11 SB offering any value. Kemp has actually hiked his SB% to over 80% the past two seasons, suggesting that the new MLB rules could help him further—and a scoring-challenged club projects to run more in 2022. But his paltry 9% SBO% over the same period says don't get carried...
