PT TOMORROW: AL East—What to make of Holt’s hot start

A torrid start to the season has probably locked in the playing time of Brock Holt (LF, BOS) for the foreseeable future.

Holt had seven hits in his first 17 AB and perhaps most surprisingly is halfway to matching his career high in HR in just four games.

Keep that in mind while assessing Holt’s potential moving forward. His positional flexibility alone makes him a nice fantasy asset, and there is no reason yet for the Red Sox to rethink their left field platoon of Holt and Chris Young (OF, BOS).

But if a trade partner is remotely buying the power—or that Holt’s batting average will stay much above .270, for that matter—he warrants a “sell high” recommendation, if you can afford to give up the ability to bounce him around...
