PT TOMORROW: AL East — As injuries mount, NYY leans on Torres

As most readers are likely aware, the story in the early season for the Yankees has been injuries up and down their lineup, with Giancarlo Stanton (OF, NYY), Aaron Hicks (OF, NYY), Miguel Andujar (3B, NYY) and Troy Tulowitzki (SS, NYY) currently on the shelf.

With Hicks and Stanton still seemingly weeks away from returning, it sets up an interesting showdown among Luke Voit (1B, NYY), Greg Bird (1B, NYY) and Clint Frazier (OF, NYY) to avoid the shuttle back to AAA-Scranton/Wilkes-Barre once New York’s outfield-DH mix is back to full strength.

Presumably, Mike Tauchman (OF, NYY), who is 1-for-10 in the early season and has a remaining minor league option, would be the first to be shipped out, but then the return of the...
