PT TOMORROW: AL East — Aranda, others may fall into September PT

With most of the division still in the playoff hunt (sorry, Yankees fans), when AL East teams expand their rosters in September, they may only add role players. Still, some of those players may prove to be fantasy factors.

 

Tampa Bay Rays

Due to injuries to Taylor Walls (SS, TAM) and Manuel Margot (OF, TAM) it feels like the Rays have already added to their roster two players who might have otherwise been first in line as September call-ups in Curtis Mead (3B, TAM) and Jonathan Aranda (1B, TAM).

Roster expansion means that Mead and Aranda could stick around even after Walls and Margot get healthy, especially given that it would appear that neither Walls nor Margot will be ready to return before September 1.
