The infield/ outfield position flexibility afforded by Leury García (OF, CHW) and Danny Mendick (SS, CHW), means that few other bench bats will likely to be needed over the 60-game sprint unless significant injuries (or COVID-19) strike the everyday lineup. 

That said, the 30-man roster provides space for both Nick Delmonico (OF, CHW) and Cheslor Cuthbert (3B, CHW) to squeeze back into the majors for perhaps only the first two weeks of the 2020 season.  

Delmonico was released by the Pale Hose in June 2019 after undergoing season-ending surgery on a left shoulder labrum tear, but came back in 2020 as a non-roster invitee to spring and summer training. His 2017 MLB debut showed a lot of promise (.262/.373/.482 in 166...
