PT TOMORROW: AL Central -- Slow summer starts in a short season suggest sitting batters

Not too long ago, Mitch Garver (C, MIN) expected he would play in a significant majority of the Twins games during the 2020 season. In recent days however, Garver has been alternating starts with Alex Avila (C, MIN). Should Garver owners be worried? Is Avila worth a pickup?

Garver is 2-for-13 with eight strikeouts in his first 4 games, while Avila is 3-for-9 (with a home run) in his three starts. Small samples for sure, but Garver has shown a much better (league average) plate approach in the past (career 73% ct%, 10% bb%), so this should balance out as more games are played, unless there is some other underlying issue. 

Avila remains a very capable backup catcher, especially in OBP leagues, where his patience (14% bb%)...
