With all of the team's starters relatively healthy and Oscar Colás (OF, CHW) officially making the roster, the path to playing time for Gavin Sheets (OF, CHW) is a little muddled, at least for now. Even Romy González (2B, CHW), who lost his chance at the starting second base job with the addition of Elvis Andrus (SS, CHW), is a threat to steal at least a little time from Sheets in the outfield.
González finished spring training on a high note, ending with a .250/.315/.646 line and a team-high six HR, and his versatility drew comparisons to Ben Zobrist from General Manager Rick Hahn. But he had a 63% ct% in both Triple-A and the majors in 2022, and hit a combined .217 across the two levels, revealing a very low floor...
