After having undergone off-season facial surgery to remedy sleep apnea, which required him to go on a liquid diet for six weeks, Napoli has spent the spring demonstrating that the sleep issue may legitimately have contributed to his subpar 2014 season and not just been a convenient excuse. Through March 27, Napoli was 9-for-23 with 2 HR.

It’s not that drafters should completely ignore the cautionary tone struck in the Baseball Forecaster, related to Napoli’s age and track record of nagging injuries. However, given how strong Napoli’s power skills have been...
