In a slightly curious move, José Buttó was optioned to Triple-A. It's mostly curious because Buttó had been solid through seven starts this season throwing 38 innings to the tune of a 3.08 ERA. His 4.12 FIP indicates he may have been a bit lucky, but that FIP is only slightly above the MLB average of 3.94 and the Mets could do a lot worse with that fifth starting spot.
