NL Central: Where to turn if Skenes and Jones falter in Pittsburgh?

The Pirates have hovered around .500 all season largely riding the strength of their starting pitching. But that's fallen off a bit recently and with a 2-8 mark in their last 10 games heading into play on Thursday, the result is that the Buccos are sitting at 58-64. They are six games out of the last wild card spot with six teams sitting between them and the postseason. They aren't out of it, but it's trending in that direction.

So it's not a great time for their starting pitching to struggle, but that's exactly where things stand as we barrel toward the middle of August. Jared Jones has had an up and down season this year and his last start was definitely part of the “down” trajectory. He threw three innings...
