In Natalie Babbitt’s 1975 novel Tuck Everlasting, a young girl walking through the woods discovers the Tucks, a family that has gained immortality and invulnerability after quaffing water from a secret magical spring. Astros GM Dana Brown would surely pay any price for a thimbleful of that elixir to heal his mysteriously wounded megastar Kyle Tucker, who was recently transferred to the 60-day IL. The move is procedural, opening up a spot on the 40-man roster, and is said not to impact the timing of Tucker’s return, but that’s just theoretical at this point.
