The Mariners entered spring training with a new look at second base with Jorge Polanco now on the New York Mets. Cole Young and Ryan Bliss were the main internal options at second base, while Leo Rivas could also get some reps. By the time camp came to an end, it had appeared that Young had grabbed a firm grip on second base.
