AL West: Burrows may be the odd man out in Houston

With Hunter Brown’s return looming, the Astros will need to decide on their starting rotation. They currently have Spencer Arrighetti, Kai-Wei Teng, Peter Lambert, Tatsuya Imai, and Mike Burrows. All have their flaws, some more than others. The Astros could go with a 6-man rotation; it’s something they have mentioned in the past, but if they don’t, who is the odd man out?

Arrighetti, the man with a 4.36 xERA and 12% BB%, will likely stick around for now. He has been limiting the damage with his 21% K% and 2.21 ERA, even though the command and underlying metrics suggest problems may abound.
