NEWS: The Detroit Tigers recalled 1B Spencer Torkelson; Bligh Madris was optioned to AAA-Toledo in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: After a promising 31-home run campaign in 2023, expectations were high for Torkelson. However, a slow start to the 2024 season led to a demotion to AAA-Toledo in June. While his initial performance there was underwhelming, Torkelson has rebounded strongly since the All-Star break, showcasing improved power and plate discipline (6 HR, 18.3% BB% over last 24 games).
