R. Urías hangs on to PT as Mayo sent down

NEWS: Baltimore optioned 3B Coby Mayo to AAA-Norfolk and recalled IF Livan Soto from AAA-Norfolk.
IMPACT: Medium
BHQ SPIN: After struggling in a brief initial stint in the majors (.059/.200/.059, 10 K in 20 PA), Mayo will return to AAA for the time being. After Baltimore appeared to be willing to give Mayo a shot at regular at-bats by starting him in four of five games following his call-up, he quickly fell out of favor, starting just two of the next six games. The demotion of Mayo should allow Ramón Urías to fill a regular role at third base while Soto, who was recalled as the corresponding move, fills a reserve role in the infield.
