Rays | Steven Souza returns to roster
Tampa Bay Rays OF Steven Souza (hand) returns to the active roster tonight and is batting second.  Source: Baseball Press

BHQ take: Souza had gone ice cold for about five weeks prior to the injury, with 40 strikeouts in 111 AB (55% ct%) producing a .171 BA since June 1. Sizemore produced similar numbers for TAM as he had earlier in 2015 with PHI, and his demotion clears the recently reported left-handed batter logjam in TAM, freeing up a few more AB for the hot-hitting John Jaso (.929 OPS in 35 AB since his July 7 activation from the DL).   —Matt Dodge
