NEWS: New York Yankees 1B Anthony Rizzo (concussion) will be shut down for the rest of the season, manager Aaron Boone said on Tuesday, September 5.

BHQ SPIN: There had been some recent news that Rizzo was making progress in his recovery and had not suffered a setback, but with the Yankees out of playoff condition, the team decided to play it safe with Rizzo, who is signed through the 2024 season, with the team holding an option for 2025 as well.
