NEWS: Los Angeles placed outfielder Mike Trout on the 10-day IL with a left hamate fracture.

BHQ SPIN: In a huge blow to the Angels, their franchise cornerstone broke his hamate bone in his hand. The timeline for his return is somewhere between 4 and 8 weeks and is heavily dependent on whether Trout undergoes surgery to repair the fracture.
