NEWS: New York Yankees LHP Nestor Cortes was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday, Aug. 11, because of a strained rotator cuff.

BHQ SPIN: The team also recalled RHP Jhony Brito and RHP Randy Vásquez from Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
