Span returns after missing nearly two weeks

Denard Span (OF, MIN) was 2-for-5 with two SB in his August 23 return, his first action since suffering a bruised clavicle on August 12. Span has rebounded from an injury-plagued 2011 to post his highest BA and OBP since 2009, and highest xBA since 2008. Slap-hitter Span's narrow Eye fluctuation throughout his career reveals discerning constancy, though his bb% has declined from his earlier seasons as his ct% has risen, making his OBP more BA-dependent.

Span's 14 SB indicate a rejuvenated running game, after a severe downturn in SBO% resulted in a career-low 6 SB in 2011. His current 16% SBO% is in line with his pre-2011 norm, doubling his 2011 8% SBO%. Span's resurgent...
