| The Texas Rangers acquired OF Alex Rios from the Chicago White Sox Friday, Aug. 9. The White Sox will also send $1 million to the Rangers for Rios' salary. The White Sox will receive a player to be named or cash considerations. The Rangers are expected to send SS Leury García to Chicago. With Rios gone, OF Avisaíl García could come up and see playing time in the majors. Garcia had 10 hits in 24 at-bats (.417) with a home run and nine RBIs with Triple-A Charlotte. Source: ESPN.com | |
