Norris returns to HOU rotation
Bud Norris (RHP, HOU), out since leaving his June 12 start with a left knee sprain, returned to the starting rotation Friday. Rookie reliever Xavier Cedeño (LHP, HOU) returned to Triple-A to make room, despite a 2.89 ERA during his month with HOU. Cedeno was used primarily as a situational southpaw vs. LHB, recording only nine IP in his 12 appearances.
Norris' rotation replacement, Dallas Keuchel (RHP, HOU), sticks with the team, though it is as yet unclear if he will remain in the rotation. Kuechel allowed only one earned run in each of his three starts in Norris' absence, compiling a 1.35 ERA in 20 IP, including a June 23 PQS-4 CG. His -15 BPV and 4.76 xERA suggest a looming...
