PLAYING TIME: LAA lineups, roster remains fluid

AMERICAN LEAGUE

LAA injuries create fluid PT outlooks, roster

Mike Trout's (OF, LAA) absence from the Angels lineup with a deep knee bruise lasted only one day, as the rookie rejoined the starters in TEX on Monday night. But Mark Trumbo (OF/1B) was out of Monday's lineup due to back spasms, which Trumbo described as fallout from a dislocated rib on his right side. Early reports are that the measure is precautionary, but it sounds serious enough for Trumbo owners to monitor. Peter Bourjos (OF, LAA) took Trumbo's spot in the lineup, though Vernon Wells (OF, LAA) will also see more AB if Trumbo has to miss any extended time. Whoever hits will play over these final two months for the inconsistent Angels offense.
