NEWS: Catcher Willson Contreras was placed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured finger.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: Contreras (-35%) was apparently injured after being hit by a pitch over the weekend, and now will be out for at least ten days (and likely beyond that, although the current timetable is unclear.) Catcher Pedro Pages (+25%) will move into a primary catching role - as he did when Contreras was forced to miss time earlier this season - posting a .630 OPS (90 xPX) over 152 PA in 2024. Iván Herrera (+10%) was called up to back up Pages; and could push his way into a split-timeshare as he has posted superior offensive numbers (.718 OPS, 113 xPX over 191 PA) to Pages this season.
