NEWS: C Luis Campusano is expected to open the season as the Padres backup catcher.

BHQ SPIN: C Freddy Fermin, who the Padres acquired last season from the Royals, is locked in as the Friars starting C, but Campusano (25% PT at C and 5% PT at DH) looks like he will break camp as the backup.
