Blackmon returns to COL,but Hilliard sticks over Bouchard

NEWS: Colorado activated OF Charlie Blackmon from the 10-day IL and in corresponding move sent OF Sean Bouchard to AAA-Albuquerque.

BHQ SPIN: Leadoff hitter Charlie Blackmon is back with the Rockies after a minimum stay on the IL dealing with a right hamstring strain. He was back in his usual leadoff spot on 6/29 and went 0-4. Brenton Doyle had been in the leadoff spot, but was bumped to the number two spot. The Rockies will keep Sam Hilliard on the roster as a backup outfielder and send Bouchard to Triple-A. Jake Cave has been recently seeing ABs against right-handed pitching and playing left field, but he doesn’t bring much with the bat. We’ve increased playing time for Blackmon (+10%)...
