NEWS: CF Evan Carter is expected to miss the rest of the season with a fractured right wrist, while RF Adolis García is nearly ready to return to the lineup.

BHQ SPIN: Carter was hit by a pitch from KC lefty Daniel Lynch IV, and X-rays confirmed the fracture. Expect Wyatt Langford to move to CF most nights, with Sam Haggerty getting starts there against lefties when he comes off the IL (with Langford shifting to left). Meanwhile, TEX Mgr Bruce Bochy confirmed that Garcia will return to the lineup on 8/23; he’ll again post up in RF on a regular basis. To fill Carter’s spot against right-handers, UT Josh H.
