Singer scores solidly on a short, wet Thursday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: There are just seven games on the MLB slate for Thursday, and it might be a minor miracle if all seven get played in their entirety. Much wet weather dots the baseball map on this Thursday: expect games in Cincinnati (MIL-CIN), Detroit (MIN-DET), and Philadelphia (PIT-PHI) to be the most in jeopardy of a postponement. Two of those games are scheduled daytime affairs as are three others on the docket. Fairly high winds are expected in several venues as well. Double-digit pitcher’s breezes are expected in Cincinnati and Detroit; a hefty outward wind is expected in Atlanta (NYM-ATL). The Match-up Ratings have overall rankings fat in the middle.
