Sánchez highly rated on Monday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Monday is just shy of a full slate with 14 games on the schedule. First pitch of the day is scheduled for 2:10pm when the White Sox host the Braves. That is one of a handful of games which could be impacted by rain; other include: Rockies-Cubs, Pirates-Nationals, and Royals-Orioles.

Notable Starts:

Cristopher Sánchez opens at home versus the Reds. In a bit of an oddity, 13 of his 18 starts last season came at home where he went 3-4 with a 3.93 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. He put up a 3.15 xERA and 56% GB% in 2023, which is the foundation of many prognosticators calling him a breakout candidate. He will be looking to put his spring behind him, as he gave up seven ER on 15 H and three BB in just 7.1 IP.
