Bello a solid option on a short-slate Thursday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Nine games are on a truncated Thursday slate. Four of those, including the 3:10 p.m. ET start of a DET@COL twin bill in Denver, are daytime affairs. CHW@KC could be impacted by wet weather. The Matchup Ratings are unspectacular at the top but overall strong through the middle and paced by ERA and WHIP factors. 

 

Notable Starts:

Brayan Bello missed most of the first month of the season with a shoulder strain and didn't make his 2025 debut until April 22. He walked six batters in his first but bounced back with a nice one-walk PQS-4 in his last (May 2 vs. MIN). Bello is rated in the green for this Fenway start against a Texas Rangers club that has logged a .642 OPS since April 23.
