DAILY MATCHUPS: Queue Ryu against Reds

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Short slate today, with only 12 games following yesterday's trio of West Coast doubleheaders in advance of Hurricane Hilary. Weather appears unlikely to cause any further delays and/or postponements today.

 

Notable Starts: 

Hyun-Jin Ryu has a chance to capitalize on his opponents trends and turn in one of the best lines of the day. Cincinnati is one of twenty teams to log at least 100 PA against LHP in the last two weeks, but they find themselves with Bottom-3 ranks in strikeout rate, OPS, ISO, wOBA, and wRC+ against southpaws in that time. Ryu got his pitch count up to 86 in his last start, so he should be able to work deep enough to qualify for a win in this one.
