Someday, someone will come up with a good reason why fantasy players feel remorse after their drafts. We don’t mean anecdotal evidence but some hard studies. After Draft Day many fantasy players feel the reverse of the Endowment Effect, where instead of overvaluing what they own they undervalue it. The more experienced fantasy owner falls prey to this less often than the tyro, but doubt still creeps into their psyches. After that first 1-10, they start to have doubts. When Tim Lincecum gets hammered the doubts strengthen. And then, one blown save and panic sets in. We are here to help.

Springtime in New York City—70 degrees, birds are singing, sidewalk cafes are full of hungry diners. What better way to spend the afternoon than sitting in a dark, noisy Irish bar drinking Guinness and drafting a fantasy baseball team? At least 11 other people shared this belief, so we got together in Manhattan to carry out the second annual draft in the NYC Roto500 league.
