TZ: Here's my take. My own research shows 70 percent of players decline in performance one year to the next, which corroborates the first round data.

And I know that we don't expect a player to match his expectations, just come reasonably close.

What if there is a means to identify the players that are likely to fall short of expectations? Furthermore, what if the signs were there earlier than most intuit? This shifts it from micro-management to fanalytic management.
