ROTISSERIE: Risk matters

(Note: we’re assuming 15-team mixed leagues when we talk about “rounds” here.)

Most fantasy GMs consider risk when drafting, but personally, we don’t believe that many (even many experts) think about risk. Yes, players slide down in ADP because they’re known risks, but based on how drafts are playing out, it’s often only the outliers and recently injured who slide significantly. And even then, they often don’t slide enough.

So we’re here to say that risk matters! And while it matters at all points in the draft, it matters most in the early rounds. If that 20th-round flyer is a bust, it didn’t cost you much, but if one of your early-round picks doesn’t pan out, it can kill your entire season.
