A History Lesson
Back in 2010, my second NFBC season, the Main Event team I drafted in NYC created somewhat of a stir. Albert Pujols, the universal number one pick at the time, had fallen to me at the three hole, and Tim Lincecum, with a first round ADP coming off back to back Cy Young awards, fell to me towards the back end of the second. I had rostered both the acknowledged best hitter and best pitcher in the draft and was the only team in the Main Event that had been able to pull off that combination. The rest of my draft went well and several other NYC Main Event participants had good things to say about my efforts while checking out the post-draft boards.
