HEAD-TO-HEAD: 2025 Player Pools

Introduction

Over 13 years ago, we introduced the concept of building a homogenous head-to-head lineup. Each player on the team had qualities that were similar to their teammates. This roster construction approach builds consistency into a H2H team's lineup. Candidly, the approach is presently much more difficult to employ. Players are more focused on launch angles and exit velocities rather than putting the ball into play.  But we'll give it one more run this year given the always enthusiastic response to the column! This article analyzes the Player Pools that have been developed over the past decade to provide you with the most consistent hitters going into 2025.
