This week's column is the final conversation piece between Vlad Sedler and Pete Sheridan who take a look at the second base and outfield positions in the 2014 Diamond Challenge game (DC).
Pete Sheridan: Robinson Cano (1480K, SEA) is the top second baseman in the game but do not think his statistics warrant his salary in the 2014 salary cap games. The move to Seattle will have the biggest impact on his home run total. Cano goes from a ballpark that boosted LH power by 33% to a new park that suppresses it by 14% (47 percent swing in the wrong direction). There are much better options around the $1.5 million dollar mark and Cano's rate of return for his salary is quite low.
