When targeting pitchers in points leagues, you must first distance yourself from some tried and true Rotisserie axioms. First, do your best to predict wins—a daunting and unreliable task.  Second, let go of ratio statistics that help you judge a pitcher’s quality.They offer some predictive assistance, but don’t represent half of a starting pitcher’s worth in the points format. Instead, focus on strikeouts as supremely important, essentially the one dependable category in a two category league.
